Ok, this is a book for the person who is interested in farming goats and wants to get their feet wet with information. It is an inexpensive overview of what it means to raise goats, history of goats, a few stories and examples, medical advise, and just common sense suggestions on how to care for your different type of goats. I loved the book and enjoyed the author's perspective. I would recommend this book for a person that has no information on how to get started in keeping goats. It is the best "Starting Point" book on a subject I have read in a long time. The information is clear, non-obtuse, and easy to understand. If you want a deep dive, this may not be the book for you, but again... I loved it. Enjoy.

This is a very basic book. Has simple information you could easily find with a 5 minute google search! I was hoping for something with a little more info! But still a good book for beginners.
Easy to read and useful for people like me who are looking to get started raising goats. I suspect most of the info will be old hat for experienced farmers, but as a new bee, I learned a lot. The reference section at the end is well worth the price all by itself.
Really good book for the beginning chicken keeper. Well written with plenty of detailed explanations and descriptive pictures of everything from coop construction( with detailed building plans) to chicken types and temperaments, to other website addresses for more detailed information. Excellent for your first book on chicken keeping. Oh, yes, there will be more you'll want. The one with all the chicken types, their pictures, temperament, health; and everything about all the breeds was my favorite second book. Start with this one. It's great.
We purchased this book to help us get a better understanding of raising chickens. We were very impressed with the amount of information that was in the book it hits all the great points on how to raise chickens straight from incubation. It has many different tips and helpful hints on all things chickens. I loved the recipes in the back of the book once the chickens start laying eggs you can use them to make anything egg related. One thing I would love to see different would be the chapter cover illistrations. Some of them are difficult to see and used twice. My children also found it very informative. I was able to show them different pictures with in the book to better explain how to care for chickens with visual. Over all we loved this book!
